A unique outlook on darker, more intimate themes,  the author is able to twist the every day life of a 12 year old in a beautifully written novel that entwines the paranormal with normality. Set in a humble English village, Turner recreates the inner struggles we all face individually and as a race with some characters conquering their demons, whilst others become conquered. Judgment, moral and inner strength are tested to their absolute limits as Jonathan Knight is forced to meet face to face with his past and his accumulating demons.

• <H1> I thoroughly enjoyed my journey through The Redwoods. The many twists and turns kept me totally engaged and I felt completely and emotionally connected to the characters. I was genuinely moved in parts, almost to tears in fact. The detail and descriptive nature in which the book is written made the read totally engrossing. Highly recommended.

• <H1> A fantastic book with detailed descriptions and exciting ideas. Subjects and characters were easy to relate to, but with the added bonus of mystery and fantasy. Tension towards the end of the book left me anticipating the sequel. A real page turner, definitely worth a read!

• <H1> I was fortunate to win 'Voices in the Mirror' a while ago, but have only just got around to reading it. As this is a short story and not wanting to spoil what happens, I will just say that this was an excellent read and one that I would recommend.

• <H1> I look forward to the new releases as each series is a new genre. I wasn't sure I would like Marcii at first as not my normal read. If it had been a different author I may have given it a miss. I am so glad that I didn't, got into to it straight away and as the story evolved I felt as if I was there. I was kept on tender hooks wanting to read more but at the same time not wanting to know the outcome. A bit graphic in parts, what a vivid imagination! I can't wait for the next book.

It takes a lot for a book to grab my attention I generally get board and don't bother. however I would recommend this book to anybody and everybody I found myself captivated by the story and the characters in it....... I couldn't wait to read the next book The Redwoods Rise and Fall.

With a brilliant set of characters and a fresh revitalised take on witches and demons, the story pushes the boundaries of fiction, leaving you desperate to read just that bit further, as you're taken into a world of witch hunting and the paranormal.

• <H1> This follow up to the Redwoods is full of mayhem, intrigue, families being torn apart and some romance thrown in for good measure. The book is descriptive as previous books have been and the reader is drawn into the plot. Vivian this time has an unquenchable lust for blood, with dire results for a number of people who fall prey to her temper. She must also have nine lives to survive the injuries sustained in this story. There is a lot of sadness in this book, but feel that in this instance, it couldn't have been any other way.
